Hi there! I'm grateful you're here!

I'm Danyelle. A little bit about me - I was born in Memphis, TN (the greatest land of all) and I am currently 27 years old. I hope you will take some time to read all about me on the About page of this site, but I will give you a few spoilers here.

Outside of being born in Memphis, I have one brother, but enjoy spending time with my cousins. I truly value the friendships and connections that have journeyed into my life during these twenty seven years. Those relationships along with the love and care of my family have filled me up consistently and I don’t know if there are enough words in all the languages to truly express how forever appreciative I am of all the people in my life.

I am excited to begin this blogging journey! I have realized for some time now that I do not do the best job of cultivating the fullness of my life. With everything we have been experiencing globally these last few years, I have not placed an emphasis on this. I understand that it is an act of resistance to live a joyful life that sustains me and that is why I am embarking on this new adventure. I also love my job and the work I do. Because I love my job I have tendencies (that’s me putting it lightly) to revolve my identity around the work I do. I have spent the last few years getting to know myself, but I haven’t really put into practice what I have learned.

That is one side of the blog.

The other side is that I LOVE being told stories! I love learning more about people, hearing about what brings them joy, and honestly I just enjoy listening. There are only a couple of things I would say I am good at, but listening is one of them. But I just don’t want to hear the stories that I am told, I want to share them with others. My hope for this blog, along with sharing my journey of cultivating my full life, is to share the stories of people in my life and people I have yet to meet. There are so many spaces that tell the stories of celebrities and people with lots of resources to things. Well, I don’t have a lot of resources, but I do know how to form sentences together so I want to use that to share the lives of people in my real world living incredible, beautiful, intricate, and meaningful lives. The lives of these people truly matters to me and I hope that you will find beauty in them too.

Those are my hopes for this space. I look forward to you coming back and hanging around for a bit. I can’t promise you that it will be the most polished space on the internet, but it will be real. I hope people can find value in that.
